Hi! My name is Graysen. I’m a high school student with a longstanding interest in ceramics. I’ve been working with clay as long as I can remember, and now I make pottery to fund Alzheimer’s disease research.
Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive, fatal, and incurable form of dementia that afflicts an estimated 6.9 million Americans over 65 years old today. Our healthcare systems are expected to be overwhelmed by Alzheimer's cases by 2050, making the current race to find a cure more critical than ever.
My grandmother’s descent into dementia gave me firsthand experience with the severity of this condition and motivated me to contribute to a greater cause, both through my work in the ceramics studio and in the laboratory.
I make a variety of one-of-a-kind pottery for sale! I also take custom requests through my contact page. Proceeds will be donated in a monthly donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, which provides care and support to those suffering from Alzheimer’s, funds cutting-edge research, and works to advocate for critical research and care initiatives. Any donation or purchase counts in the fight against Alzheimer’s, so I urge you to contribute anything you can. Look around a while!
